WINONA LAKE – Barbara E. Suter, 90, died Sept. 14, 2011, in Grace Village.
She was born Nov. 24, 1920, in Versailles, Mo., to Daniel and Mary Driver Raber. On Feb. 14, 1940, in Goshen, she married Nelson Suter, who died March 9, 1999.
She lived in this area since 1939 and worked at Richmond Wholesale, Goshen, for 25 years. She was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Goshen.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy L. (and spouse Victor) Virgil and Bonnie S. Lloyd, all of Warsaw; a son, Ray K. (and spouse Patricia) Suter, San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, D.A. (and spouse Erma) Raber, Newton, Kan.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace Village, Winona Lake, with Chaplain Bryan Benjamin officiating. Her body will be cremated and ashes buried at Violett Cemetery, Goshen, at a later date.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, is in charge of arrangements.
