Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Banks III of 1201 Edgewood Drive, Warsaw, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony Sept. 1, 2012.
Joseph and Constance were married Sept. 1, 1962, at the Shiloh Baptist Church of Philadelphia, Pa., with Pastor William Powell Jr. officiating.
They have three children: the late Joseph IV (and spouse Joann, who lives in Warsaw); Kenneth (and spouse Lynn), Katy, Texas; and Reesa (and spouse Timothy), Thompsonville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Joseph runs a tutoring ministry in Fort Wayne. He retired as a purchasing agent from Zimmer Inc. and as a master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Constance is a homemaker.
They are members of Calvary Baptist Church of Oswego, where Joseph is the Sunday school superintendent.
They enjoy traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
