She was born Aug. 11, 1920, to Judge Seth and Bertha Rowdabaugh.
She resided in Warsaw in her youth and graduated from Warsaw High School.
During World War II, she served with the U.S. Army Air Force as an air evacuation nurse in the European Theater. After college graduation, she worked as a social worker in California.
Recently, she lived in Portola Valley, Calif. Her husband, William W. Clarke, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, one son, seven grandchildren and one sister, Joan.
