FORT WAYNE ─ AWS Foundation recently awarded $1,049,386 in grants to 14 nonprofit organizations that benefit individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities in northeast Indiana.
Among the local organizations receiving grants are:
• Joe’s Kids - $300,000 capital support for renovations and accessible restroom in newly purchased facility.
• Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana - $30,000 for 2023-24 programming for students with disabilities.
Founded in 2007, AWS Foundation supports a wide range of organizations and service agencies in northeast Indiana working to develop a community in which people with enduring intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities are engaged fully and meaningfully in all aspects of community life.
