SYRACUSE - Audrie June Dean, 75, of Syracuse, died at 1:15 a.m. May 17, 2009, in her residence.

She was born Aug. 2, 1933, in Nanticoke, Pa., to Wesley and Mary Lewis Wandel. On March 12, 1955, she married Jack Eugene Dean, who died Dec. 27, 2004.

Moving to Syracuse from Pennsylvania more than 50 years ago, she was a former seamstress at Goshen Cushion for 25 years. She was a member of Syracuse Eagles Lodge, Syracuse American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of Syracuse Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are five daughters, Nikkie (and spouse Richard) Stump, Goshen; Darcy Dean, Jackie Dean (and Garry Hamilton) and Jeanie (and spouse John) Smeltzer; all of Syracuse; and Deanna (and spouse Enoch) Standridge, Cusetta, Ga.; a son, Mark (and spouse Dixie) Dean, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgia Mohn, Sassamansville, Pa. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Brooks Henry officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
