Audrey RoettgerAudrey Roettger, 88, formerly of Beaver Dam Lake, died July 3, 2019, at her home in Frostproof, Fla.
She was born in Crawfordsville, Ind., to Opal and Layton Wolfe.
She married Chuck Roettger, also of Beaver Dam Lake, who proceeded her in death. They were active members of the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church.
Audrey’s sisters are Barbara (Moe) Grover of Kokomo, Ind., and Mary (Jim) Maudlin of Medford, Ore.; and preceeding her in death were Bonnie (Don) Hoover, Irene (Dale) Buser, Marie (Mel) Basham and Becky Payne. She has many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews and cousins.
Audrey loved life and embraced new adventures, never worrying about moving to other states or towns because she loved making new friends. Audrey loved animals, helping those that were injured and she even had a talking parrot for years. She loved playing cards and games, take walks, ride her bike and later her golf cart, loved to travel and try new things and spending time with family and friends. She was always worrying about the needs of others, especially those who couldn’t care for themselves. Audrey will be remembered as someone who was always smiling, happy, loving and thankful to God for guiding her everyday of her life.
There will be a celebration of her life Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. at Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W CR 1000S, Akron, Ind., with Pastor Butch Troke officiating.
