Atwood Lions Club gifted all third-grade students at Madison Elementary with a brand-new dictionary. Not only did the dictionary catalog words and definitions, it also included biographies of the U.S. presidents, the United States Constitution, facts about the planets, maps of the continents and information about the 50 states. As the third-graders combed through their new dictionaries, they were impressed with the longest word in the English language – 1,909 letters long.
