ATWOOD - A fire at the home of Donald D. Hedington, 408 N. CR 650W, Atwood, was contained by Atwood, Etna Green, Mentone and Warsaw fire departments in about 30 minutes.
Atwood Fire Department was dispatched around 10:45 a.m. Thursday to Hedington's home.
According to Atwood Fire Chief Mike Harmon, the home received some fire and water damage but he didn't have an estimate. The heat led to some problems for firemen.
Etna Green fireman Jason Kline was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for heat exhaustion, but was later released.
The blaze started on the home's second floor, and Harmon believes the fire was electrical.
