The Hon. Judge Duane G. Huffer, Kosciusko Superior Court I (R) gives the oath of office to newly elected Kosciusko County Assessor Laurie Renier Thursday in the county courthouse as her husband, Gary, looks on. Renier has been with the assessor's office for 15 years. After the swearing-in ceremony, Renier said her first priority will be to keep the reassessment 'rolling.' The assessor's office recently received its reassessment manuals from the state. Renier was elected assessor at a Tuesday caucus. She replaces Sharon R. Thompson, 55, who died July 24.
