Artists Exhibiting At Indiana Art Fair This Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS - Kosciusko County artisan Jason Rowland is among the more than 90 local artists exhibiting and selling works at the 7th Annual Indiana Art Fair at the Indiana State Museum Saturday and Sunday.

This indoor juried show features artists from 30 Indiana counties and is spread out among the museum's three levels. Visitors will enjoy an array of works ranging from paintings, photography and sculpture to fiber arts and jewelry. The show supports local artists, as well as the Indiana State Museum, with proceeds helping fund both public and school programs.

The museum's partnership with Indiana Artisan is reflected in the museum Indiana Store, where at least a dozen local artists are regularly featured, creating a unique Indiana shopping experience.

Also Donna Yarema, owner of Teapots and Treasures in downtown Indianapolis, will be at the Indiana store on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. brewing up samples of the new line of custom teas that she has blended for the museum. Packages of tea, including Midwest Magic, Indiana Treasure and Hoosier BrainBrew, will be available for purchase.The 7th Annual Indiana Art Fair is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the Art Fair is included in museum admission and is free to museum members.
