Arthur Lamar Mabie, 75, died of cirrhosis Feb. 15, 2011, in Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 22, 1935, in Syracuse. On April 4, 1970, he married Margaret "Peg", who survives.
He attended Syracuse High School. In addition to farming, he delivered furniture with his father, worked in a rubber factory, was a postal worker and managed a grocery store. Moving to Lakeland in 1984, he opened the Traveling Workshop to do handyman work. That turned into a yard care service until last June.
Also surviving are a daughter, BethAnn Banghart, Syracuse; a son, Joseph Kleinknight, Goshen; a sister, Sarah Ann "Sally" Carboneau; many grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a two daughters.
