There are several opportunities for you to participate in art classes at the North Webster Community Center during September.
Instructor Joe Knight will host two oil painting classes: a special floral class Sept. 8 and a landscape class Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost of either class is $40, which includes all needed supplies. Frames are available at an additional cost.
There also will be a fall crafting class on Sept. 15 from noon until 3 p.m. The cost for the class is $30 per person, all supplies included.
Registration also has started for a new class being offered at the center. Artist Marilyn Copeland will host a six-week series on acrylic painting beginning Oct. 11 and continuing through Nov. 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Copeland teaches the Donna Dewberry painting techniques. Participants will learn the importance of the color wheel, how to create and apply a design, mixing and floating color, and more, in addition to creating a beautiful project. Participants will be able to use these techniques to create unique, one-of-a-kind projects for home and friends.
