Arnetta Rose HunnicuttHUNTINGTON – Arnetta Rose Hunnicutt, age 90, of Huntington, died at 12:03 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at St. Anne’s Victory Noll in Huntington.

Private graveside services will be held in Mount Calvary Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.

Arnetta was born on May 8, 1929, in Huntington, the daughter of William Okuly and Mary Frances Karst Okuly. She graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1947 and married Richard W. Hunnicutt on Aug. 28, 1948, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Huntington; he preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1994. Arnetta worked in food service for over 35 years in various locations throughout Huntington. Later in life, she married Roy Hasty and they lived in Fort Wayne; he also preceded her in death. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the VFW Post #2689 Auxiliary.

Survivors include sons: Jerry (Patty) Hunnicutt, of Azle, Texas; Joe (Nancy) Hunnicutt, of Huntington; and Jim (Joyce) Hunnicutt, of Louisville, Ky.; and daughters: Diana (Bob) Bowers, of Leesburg; and Darlene (Terry) Tinsley, of Louisville. Also surviving are a brother, James Okuly, of Saginaw, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a son, Dale Hunnicutt; brothers, Joe Okuly, Berne Okuly, Francy Okuly, Gene Okuly, Paul Okuly; infant siblings, Harold Okuly and Ruth Okuly; and a great-grandson, Lucas Grube. Arnetta dearly loved her entire family, including her in-laws and her many, many loving nieces and nephews.
