Two local law enforcement agencies are investigating a pair of similar armed robberies in Kosciusko County.
The Warsaw Police Department is investigating a Saturday armed robbery at the Super Wash Car Wash on Center Street, while the North Webster Police Department is investigating a Monday armed robbery at Paula's Car Wash on George Street in North Webster.
"It is unknown if (the Warsaw robbery) is related to the North Webster case," said Warsaw Detective Scott Whitaker. "However, they appear to be similar in nature."
According to the Warsaw Police, Jacob Paul Revere, 18, of Warsaw, was at the coin changing machine at the Super Wash on Center Street Saturday around 5:19 p.m. when two white men, one a teen and the other an older subject, approached him.
"The older subject pointed a handgun at the victim while obtaining the victim's wallet," said Whitaker.
Along with the wallet, the suspects took Revere's cellular telephone.
Revere said the men then forced him into the trunk of his vehicle.
It is unknown whether the suspects left on foot or in a vehicle and there was no known description of the suspects.
According to the North Webster Police, John Glon Jr. of Larwill, was at Paula's Car Wash at 304 E. George St., North Webster, around 6:28 p.m. Monday when two white men approached him and spoke to him.
After a short conversation, one of the men showed a handgun and told Glon to get into the trunk of his vehicle.
When Glon refused to get in the trunk, the man hit him in the head with the silver or stainless steel gun.
After the men left in a maroon vehicle, described as a newer-style possibly Chevrolet car, Glon flagged down North Webster Police Officer Candice Smythe and reported the incident.
Both robberies remain under investigation.
