LARWILL - Police are searching for a man who held up a Larwill gas station Wednesday night, armed with a pistol.
Police were called just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to the Larwill Deli, at the intersection of Ind. 5 and U.S. 30, where a station employee said a man armed with a small silver semi-automatic pistol robbed the store of cash and eight cartons of cigarettes before running off.
A Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department K-9 was called in to track the man’s whereabouts. The dog was able to track the suspect to an alley a block and a half away before losing the scent, where police believe the man got into a car and drove off, police said.
No description of the man was released.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the stick-up.
