Arlie “Wayne” Reffitt, 60, Silver Lake, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, in his residence.

He was born April 12, 1957, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Joe Wheeler and Josephine Adams Reffitt. He was united in marriage to Richelle Miller on June 14, 1986, in Warsaw.

A Kentucky resident for two years, he moved to Indiana and resided in the Claypool area 58 years. He was employed as a polisher beginning with Whimet and Hand Industries, eventually moving to DePuy Inc. and attaining 20 years of service.

A hard worker and very loving husband and a good father, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid hunter and raised beagles and other animals. He loved going to church and serving the Lord and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County.

Wayne left behind many good memories of friends and family, all the while knowing he will be reunited with them again in heaven. He will be missed, but if we keep holding on to the Lord, we are confident we will be with him again some day.

Survivors include his wife, Richelle Reffitt, Silver Lake; sisters, JoAnn Bradley, Warsaw, and Kim (spouse Kelly) Schneider, Bremen; son, Blade Miller Reffitt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents and a sister, Vickie Reffitt.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, in First Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Terry Bradford, Wedstel Shepherd and Luther Bailey officiating.

Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the church. A service will follow at 7 p.m. Friday with family and friends.

Interment will be in Sycamore Cemetery, Fulton County.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
