Arlene King, 87, of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, and formerly of Warsaw, died at 1:55 a.m. July 24, 2008.
She was born Dec. 21, 1920, in East Palestine, Ohio, to George Henry and Cora Zuercher Weaver. On June 27, 1943, she married Merl David King, who preceded her in death in 1987.
She was a homemaker and resident of Kosciusko County for 25 years. She was a member of Community Bible Church, Warsaw. She taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed bowling, woodworking, Bible studies and was always interested in her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters: Elaine (and spouse Ken) McKee, Williams, Ariz.; Myrdith (and spouse Phil Arlen) King, Medford, Ore.; Susan (and spouse Steve) Foegley, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Jeremy (and spouse Janna) Osborne, Mountainview, Calif.; Jennifer Osborne, Los Angeles, Calif.; Stefanie (and spouse Ben) Essick, Warsaw; Karen Foegley, Los Angeles; and a brother, Vernon Weaver, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Bob Courtney officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
