WINONA LAKE - Argonne Road will be closed to all traffic on or after Monday, May 15.
According to a news release from Phend & Brown Inc., contractors and engineers for the Winona Avenue roundabout project, starting on Monday, Argonne Road will be closed to all traffic. The center circle area will be closed to all traffic.
Winona Avenue, Park Avenue, Kings Highway and McKinley Road will be open to two-way traffic.
Traffic will use the intersection as a temporary roundabout during this phase. Appropriate signage will be posted.
Argonne Road traffic will use Jefferson Street to McKinley Street as the local detour. Truck traffic will remain restricted through the intersection to allow for construction. The shared used trail will remain open.
This center circle construction is expected to take three to four weeks to complete. An alternative route is suggested to avoid delays.
Changing weather conditions and/or internal schedule changes may alter the dates. Traffic control signage and detour markings will be provided in advance of, and during any closure, the release states.
