Valley Rips Bruins GOSHEN – Tippecanoe Valley scored 13 runs in the first two innings en route to a 14-1, five-inning win at Bethany Christian Tuesday. Hunter Early got the win on the mound, allowing four hits and three walks while recording 10 of 15 outs via the strikeout. Jay Myers doubled twice, and Eric Hammer added one of his own to the nine-hit Viking attack. Alec Craig, Luke Helton, Myers and Hammer drove in two runs each.
Whitko Beats Northfield, 7-4 WABASH – Hanna Yohe had a triple, a double, and a single in Whitko’s 7-4 win at Northfield Tuesday. Andrea Snavely and Tori Silveus combined in the pitcher’s circle for the win for the Wildcats. Whitney Marsh had a double. Emily Hughes had a double and a triple. Reannon Hopkins had a single. Kennedy Krull had a single and a home run.
Whitko Trips Southern Wells SOUTH WHITLEY – Hunter Sroufe homered, and Alex Bechtold and Tanner Gaff doubled in Whitko’s 13-4 win over visiting Southern Wells Tuesday. Landen Goff, Drew Bradford, Sroufe, Gaff and Bechtold had two hits each for Whitko.
Squires Beat N. Miami, 9-3 NORTH MANCHESTER – Landon Tharp and Trey McNall had two hits and a RBI each in Manchester’s 9-3 win over North Miami in Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday. The game was moved from the Warriors’ campus due to wet grounds. “It was a good win for the kids,” said Squire head coach Jack Rupley. “We played pretty good defense (Tuesday). Kane Gable made a heck of a backhanded catch on a line drive, then threw a runner at first out.” Hayes Sturtsman was the complete-game winner, striking out six and walking two.
Lady Squires Win Squeaker NORTH MANCHESTER – In a softball game moved from North Miami due to wet grounds, Manchester scored twice in the sixth inning to beat the Warriors 3-2 in Three Rivers Conference play Tuesday.
Warrior Tennis Swept By N’Wood SYRACUSE – Wawasee’s girls tennis team fell 5-0 to visiting Elkhart Memorial Tuesday. The Lady Warriors will host NorthWood on Thursday.
