Warsaw Regional Tix Available This Week Tickets for Warsaw’s Saturday appearance in the boys basketball 4A Michigan City Regional will go on sale from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday for season ticket holders, cheerleading and player parents, and Warsaw students. The general public will be able to buy tickets from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The tickets are $10 each and are good for the morning semifinals and the championship game at 8 p.m. Eastern time Saturday night. Warsaw will take on East Chicago Central at 12:30 p.m. Warsaw time (noon Michigan City time) in the first semifinal.
Valley Boys BB Awards March 15 AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball awards program will be at 7 p.m. March 15 in the high school commons. Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend.
‘No Derby’ Breakfast Scheduled BREMEN – The Bremen Conservation Club with assistance from the Bremen Boys and Girls Club will host a breakfast buffet/raffle from 8-11 a.m. Saturday at the Bremen VFW/American Legion. Proceeds from this event will be shared with the Boys and Girls Club. The event is being held in place of the annual Ice Fishing Derby that was cancelled due to no ice. All items collected for the derby will be raffled off. Raffle items for the adults, in addition to the $250, $150, $100 cash, will consist of rod/reel combos, a complete auto detail, oil changes, fishing tackle storage bags, other fishing-related items, and miscellaneous gift cards from local businesses. Items for the youth consist of a flipover type ice fishing shelter, $75 and $50 gift cards, rod/reel combos plus other fishing and non-fishing items. There will be a separate raffle for a $349 AQUA-VU micro AV plus underwater camera system with a limited number of $10 tickets being sold. Breakfast price for adults with a $10 raffle ticket is an additional $5; without a ticket is $8. Youth eat free with a raffle ticket, and $4 without a ticket.
Young Tiger Football And Cheerleading Adding A Division Warsaw Young Tiger Football and Cheerleading is adding a division for 7-year-olds for the fall season. The new division will focus on fundamentals, player safety, leadership skills and increased participation. The organization is also looking for additional cheer and football coaches for the fall. The cost is $65 per athlete with a maximum of $120 per family. Registration can be completed from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. March 18, 25 and April 1 at the Pete Thorn Center, 800 N. Park Ave., Warsaw. A copy of the athlete’s birth certificate is needed to complete registration.
Lady Viking Biddy Ball Begins Soon AKRON – Registration for the 2017 Tippecanoe Valley Lady Viking Biddy Ball camp is now open. Sessions are 9-11 a.m. March 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 20-22 and 9-11 a.m. March 26 at the high school gym. The camp is open to third and fourth-graders, with a registration fee of $10. Players will need to carry their shoes in, wear appropriate clothing and bring their own drinks. The registration deadline is March 14 to be guaranteed a T-shirt.
