Notice is hereby given, that the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission shall hold a public hearing to discuss the temporary moratorium of the acceptance of hearing proposals and issuance of permits to those projects subject to the below sections of the Kosciusko County Zoning Ordinance;
Article 2 Section 2.14 Table A (Permitted and Exception Uses) – amendment to the districts in which Commercial Solar Energy System Farms are considered permitted and exception uses.
Article 9 Definitions – additions and amendments to those definitions associated to Commercial Solar Energy Systems
Article 3 Section 3.30 regarding the regulation and limitations of placement of Commercial Solar Energy Systems
Said moratorium to the Kosciusko County Zoning Ordinance shall, if adopted, apply to those unincorporated areas of Kosciusko County as well as those participating municipalities within the County including the Town of Syracuse, Town of Milford, Town of North Webster, Town of Etna Green, Town of Pierceton, Town of Burket, Town of Claypool, and the Town of Silver Lake and shall extend to the submittal of plans, consideration of hearings, and issuance of permits. Said moratorium is proposed for a 90 day period from the date of adoption.
This Hearing will be held in the Commissioners meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Kosciusko County Courthouse at 100 W. Center St., Warsaw, Indiana, on Wednesday the 6th day of March 2019 at 1:00 P.M. All interested persons are invited to attend and be heard. Written comments will be considered if they are received in the Office if the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission, Warsaw, Indiana, no later than 12:00 Noon on the day of the hearing. Copies of the proposals are available upon request in the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission Office.
