Area High School RoundupTiger Wrestlers Close Out Regular Season With Win
DUNLAP – Warsaw’s wrestling team closed out its regular season with a 42-30 Northern Lakes Conference win at Concord Wednesday night.
The Tigers got pins from Gavin Truex (182 pounds), Dillon Estepp (285), and Kyle Hatch (152).  Warsaw also got wins from Brady Stout (160) and Isaiah Owens (106). Mick Stewart, Brock Hogenson, and Austin Brown collected forfeits at 113, 120, and 126, respectively.
“A major factor in the victory was not giving up the bonus points in matches that were lost. There was tremendous competitiveness  from guys that bumped up weight classes.,” said Warsaw head coach Kris Hueber.
Max Bradley and Andrew Owens picked up wins in junior varsity competition.
Warsaw finished the dual season at 10-14 and 1-6 in the conference. Warsaw will be at Northridge on Saturday for the NLC Tournament.
