FORT WAYNE — The Warsaw volleyball team defeated Fort Wayne Snider 25-15, 25-14, 25-23 Tuesday in Fort Wayne.

In the three-game sweep, junior Jamie Lacheta led the Lady Tigers with 12 kills, four aces and three blocks. Warsaw was also led by junior Chloe Hubner’s 30 assists and junior Alex Sanchez’s 20 digs.

The 17-6 Lady Tigers travel to NorthWood Thursday for a Northern Lakes Conference match.

Losing 25-15, 25-20, 20-25, 25-17, Manchester falls into a three-way tie for first place in the TRC, along with Northfield and Southwood. The Manchester Lady Squires travel to Class 2A No. 9 Southwood Thursday night.

The Class 2A No. 20 Northridge Raiders defeated Wawasee 5-0 Tuesday in Middlebury. Wawasee held Northridge to two goals in the opening half, but two more in the second half, as well as an own goal, resulted in the lopsided goal. The 0-13-1 (0-6 Northern Lakes Conference) Warriors host Plymouth Thursday, while Northridge hosts Warsaw attempting to earn at least a share of the NLC championship.

Hosting the one-win Winamac Warriors Tuesday, the Manchester boys soccer team didn’t waste too much time, getting a 9-0 victory. Kegan McNeeley increased his season goal total to 18 with three goals in the victory, leaving him just one short of the school record. Also for Manchester, goals were scored by Tom Naragon, Martin Andersen, Bryce Pyrah, Ben Godoy-Forrester, Dylan Grossnickle and David Fahs-Brown. The Squires host North Miami today in Three Rivers Conference action.

The Lady Squires received its three goals from three different players, including Claire McLaughlin, Karrianne Tveter and Lille Terrill. The 4-7-3 Lady Squires host North Miami today in a Three Rivers Conference game.
