Tippecanoe Valley Downs Peru, Stays Unbeaten In TRC

PERU – Tippecanoe Valley rushed for 349 yards on 52 carries as a team, enabling it to move to 2-0 in the Three Rivers Conference football standings with a 32-18 win at Peru Friday night.

Jaydin Conley carried the ball 24 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and Dakota Gaff had 157 yards on 14 carries and a score.

The Vikings tied a pair of school records in the contest. Jalen Potter had three interceptions and Domingo  Santiago kicked a 37-yard field goal. He later added a 31 yarder and kicked a pair of point-after-touchdowns.

Tanner Trippiedi had a 1-yard touchdown pass to Potter.

Next up for Valley (2-1 overall) is a home game with North Miami (2-1, 1-1 TRC), who fell at home 45-13 to Southwood Friday. Kickoff is a 7 p.m. Sept. 13.



Zebras Down Wildcats

SOUTH WHITLEY – Quarterback Ethan Schuh had a 12-yard touchdown run for Whitko, who also recovered a pair of onside kicks in its 21-7 home loss to Rochester in Three Rivers Conference football Friday night.

Cade Berg ran for 65 yards on 13 carries and led the Wildcats with a dozen tackles. Dominick Mosely and Ashton Schuh had 11 ans 10 tackles, respectively.

Whitko (0-3, 0-2 TRC) travels to Bunker Hill to face Maconaquah in a conference game Friday.



Raiders Blank Warriors

MIDDLEBURY – Wawasee football fell to 0-3 after dropping its Northern Lakes Conference opener 27-0 at Northridge Friday night.

Statistics were not available as of press time.

The Warriors (1-2 overall) will host Concord for a conference game Sept. 13.
