WINONA LAKE – Weather permitting, the Community Apple Orchard will have a work day Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Tasks will be pruning apple trees, clearing brush, and trimming blueberry bushes. The orchard is at the T-intersection of Pierceton Road (Kings Highway) and Packerton Road one mile east of Winona Lake and two miles west from U.S. 30. Tools and supplies will be provided, and all volunteer time can be redeemed for free apples from the fall harvest. Any questions, call 574-377-7699.
