Another student has been suspended pending expulsion from Warsaw Community High School for allegedly making threatening comments.
The 15-year-old Warsaw male reportedly admitted to police that he said that he "would get a gun from (name omitted) and kill a couple people then kill (name omitted)." The person to whom this student was referring was the student suspended earlier this week for allegedly threatening to enter the school shooting people and setting off bombs. The student in this incident, which was reported about 1:45 p.m.Thursday, told police and school officials that he is friends with the other student but he has not talked to him for several months.
Both students said their comments were made jokingly, but the school administration has said all threats will be dealt with as threats and investigated. Also, officials said such comments are not taken as jokes, regardless of their intent. Officials are taking every precaution possible in the wake of the recent tragedy at Littleton, Colo.
"Everybody is making too big a deal out of it," the student in this incident told police in regard to his comment. He also said he could "kind of understand why everyone was being cautious, but that they should know that I didn't mean it."
No criminal charges were filed in either case.
