TRUSSVILLE, ALA. – Annie Ruth Akins, 78, Trussville, Ala., and formerly of Trenton, Tenn., and Warsaw, passed away April 28, 2014. She was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Trenton to Cecil Sr. and Annie B. McMinn. She was married to Willard Young Akins, who preceded her in death. She was a devoted mother and was loved dearly by her family. She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Trenton for many years. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Surviving are her son, Marshall (and spouse Kelley) Akins, Trussville; a stepdaughter, Katherine (and spouse Waid) Mack, Blountsville, Ala.; and two grandchildren, Michael Taylor and Alyssa Christine Akins, both of Trussville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Cecil McMinn Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery, Trenton, Tenn. ***** In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Warsaw Christian School, 909 S.
