NAPPANEE – Annabelle Evans, 90, of LuAnn Nursing Home, Nappanee, died at 5:27 a.m. Sept. 21, 2011, in Unity Medical and Surgery Hospital, Mishawaka. She was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Kosciusko County, to Jasper and Gertrude Wagner Fisher. On July 22, 1939, in Milford, she married Arthur R. Evans Jr., who died Nov. 28, 2000. She was a homemaker and prior to her marriage, she was a maid and a nanny for Dr. and Mrs. Ray Fleetwood. She was a member of First Brethren Church and of the former War Mother’s Club, Nappanee. Surviving are a daughter, Vonda C. (and spouse Robert) Bedward Jr., Nappanee; three sons: Phillip W. Evans, Muncie; Thomas D. (and spouse Elaine) Evans, Avon; and Dallas C. (and spouse Sharon) Evans, Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two sons, two sisters and five brothers. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Brethren Church with the Revs. Tom Schiefer and Bart Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Hepton Union Cemetery.
