Annabelle “Ann” Rae Zimmerman, 93, formerly of Warsaw, died Dec. 22, 2011, in Marshall Hospital Transitional Center, Placerville, Calif., after a long struggle with colon cancer and renal failure.
She married Albert J. Zimmerman, who survives.
She resided in Placerville with her daughter since September 2009. Prior to this, she resided in Burlingame, Calif., where she volunteered in the gift shop at Peninsula Hospital for 20 years. She resided in Warsaw for more than 30 years, until retirement in 1983 from the Warsaw School system. She was an active member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and attended the Presbyterian Church in Warsaw.
Also surviving are a daughter, Deb (and spouse Gentry) Jones; four grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son.
The Neptune Society of Northern California is in charge of cremation with private burial at sea.
