Anna Pauline Richhart, 97, of 2461 Liberty Road, Rochester, died at 1:43 a.m. July 3, 2010.

She was born June 20, 1913, in Rochester, to Charles Jasper and Ida Mae Johnson Richards. She married Everett Taylor. She later married Merrit F. Richhart, who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Rochester High School and Wayne University of Beauty Culture, Fort Wayne. After graduation, she and her sister, Eva Ringler, owned and operated Sherman Beauty Salon, Fort Wayne, for many years. She was a member of the National Hairdressers & Cosmetologist Association, Indianapolis; Community Methodist Church, Lake Como, Fla.; Grace United Methodist Church, Rochester; and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 514, Fort Wayne, for more than half a century.

Surviving are four grandchildren: a brother, John (and spouse Ella) Richards, Crescent City, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a great-grandson, two sisters and four brothers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Maurice Grindle officiating. A memorial service by member of the Order of the Eastern Star will be at 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
