AKRON – Anna Marie Prater, 93, died Saturday, May 9, 2026.
She was born to Eddie and Rachel Julia Hannah Hackworth on Aug. 23, 1932. She married Kyle Prater on Sept. 29, 1951.
Local survivors are Jeffrey Prater, Rochester; and Norman Prater (Kathy), Akron.
The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 14 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Todd Rhymer officiating.
The interment will take place following the funeral service in the Akron Cemetery next to her husband.
Visitation hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 14 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
Donations in Anna’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a local hospice.
