NAPPANEE – Anna Mae Wise, 81, of Nappanee, died at 9:10 a.m. Sept. 5, 2011, at her daughter’s residence in Nappanee after a short illness.

She was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Nappanee, to Noble and Blanche Balsley Middaugh. On March 26, 1949, in Nappanee, she married Lloyd L. Wise, who survives.

She was a graduate of Nappanee High School and a lifetime resident of Nappanee. She was a homemaker.

Also surviving are two daughters, Gloria Ann (and spouse Jack) Hamman, Leesburg, and Sue (and spouse Duane) Moneyheffer, Nappanee; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (and spouse Max) Truex, Wakarusa; and two brothers, Kenneth (and spouse Pat) Middaugh and Clarence Middaugh, all of Nappanee. She was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with Duane Moneyheffer officiating, assisted by the Rev. Tom Schiefer. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
