MILFORD - Anna Katherine Cain, 94, died Oct. 23, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born June 27, 1916, in Kosciusko County, to Jessie and Pearl Shreiner Wise. On Feb. 4, 1939, she married Hubert Cain, who died in 1984.
She was a lifetime Milford resident and a member of First Brethren Church, Milford; the Women's Missionary Society of the church; Melloaires singing group of Kosciusko County; American Legion 226 Auxiliary; and Home Arts Club, Milford. She was a nurse for 18 years at Goshen Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and volunteering at the Red Cross.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra (and spouse Jerry) Hedington, Tippecanoe; a son, Steven (and spouse Mary) Cain, Noblesville; three grandchildren: Angela Adams, Fishers; Andrew Cain, Carmel; and Todd Noel Hedington, Tippecanoe; six great-grandchildren: Ellie, Maggie, Mia and Luke Adams, and Haley and Tyler Hedington. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Judith Anne Cain; two grandchildren, Jay Lee Hedington and Steve Scott Cain; a brother; and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford, with Pastor Billy Hesketh officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
