Animals Killed In Milford Barn FireMILFORD - Some animals were lost during a barn fire in Milford Tuesday morning.
Some time before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Milford Fire Department received the initial call to 2246 W. CR 1350N, Milford, according to Milford Fire Chief Virgil Sharp.
According to county records, the property is owned by SMF Properties LLC.
The west end of the barn had flames coming out of it. There were some livestock in the barn at the time, some of which didn’t make it out. Sharp said the cause of the fire is unknown. There were no injuries to firefighters.
A quarter of the barn was burned during the fire. Sharp didn’t have an estimated dollar figure in damages to the barn.
Milford received a full assist from Nappanee Fire Department and a tanker from Plain Township Fire Department.
