Angola Man Faces Charges In Nov. BeatingAn Angola man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly beating a man so badly that it caused him to have a seizure.
Raymond R. Tracey III, 33, Angola, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 10:43 a.m. Tuesday for battery resulting in serious bodily injury, a level 5 felony, and battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor. His preliminary bond was set at $6,000.
On Nov. 7, Warsaw Police Department officer Chris Brown responded to a man having a seizure at an undisclosed location. A woman there told Brown the man’s seizure was caused by him being beaten by her ex-boyfriend, Tracey.
The woman said she and the man were lying on the bed when Tracey came into their bedroom, jumped on the man and started punching him in the face. The man began having a seizure, and Tracey left the home.
Brown saw a pool of blood on the pillow where the man’s head had been. He also saw blood splattered on the wall next to where the man had been lying. The woman told Brown the blood was a result of Tracey hitting the man on the face.
The victim’s ambulance was diverted from Kosciusko Community Hospital to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne due to the severity of the man’s injuries. An EMT said he thought the victim could have broken facial bones.
