Firemen work on the northeast corner of the American Table Restaurant, where a fire was reported at 5:51 a.m. today. The fire damage was contained to a utility room and a portion of the kitchen, but there was smoke damage throughout the building. Preliminary estimates place damage at $175,000 to $200,000 and the business, on U.S. 30 in Warsaw, will likely be closed for several weeks for cleanup, officials said. A cause for the fire has not yet been determined, but it is not believed to be of suspicious origin. No injuries were reported. Warsaw Fire Department was assisted at the scene by crews from Winona Lake Fire Department. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
