A Multi-Township EMS ambulance was damaged early Sunday when it struck a gnome on a Warsaw street.
The accident occurred on Center Street, 40 feet east of Bronson Street, Warsaw, around 6 a.m.
Judy Brown, 48, Cardinal Drive, Warsaw, told police she could not see anything in the dark street because the concrete lawn ornament was dark in color. Police suspect someone moved the gnome from a nearby yard and put it in the middle of the street.
Damage to the undercarriage of the ambulance was estimated at $750-$1,000. There was no report on gnome's condition.
