Posted
DALLAS, Texas – Ambit Energy, a national retail energy provider, announced that enrollment is now open for residential and small commercial gas customers in Indiana.
Ambit will service the Northern Indiana Public Service Company area, which includes more than 820,000 potential customers, according to the announcement.
“We are excited to finally bring Ambit Energy services to Indiana to help meet customer demand and create new opportunities for our current and future independent consultants,” said Jere Thompson Jr., co-founder and CEO of Ambit Energy, in the announcement. “Our history of success is a testament to the overall value and service Indiana residents can expect when they join Ambit.”
Founded in 2006 by Thompson and Chris Chambless, Ambit provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets in 16 states and Washington D.C., primarily using a direct sales channel of more than 350,000 independent consultants. The company has more than 1.3 million customers nationwide and recorded revenue of $1.5 billion in 2014, earning placement on the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing companies for the sixth consecutive year.
Ambit, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, announced its Indiana expansion at the company's annual Simulcast conference in January. This event hosted thousands of entrepreneurs from across the country in Dallas and Utica, New York.
