SYRACUSE – Amanda Weigandt Wells, 31, died Oct. 29, 2011, surrounded by her family at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, Ill., due to complications incurred during the birth of her daughter, Abigail Julian “A.J.,” who died Nov. 1, 2011.
She was born Feb. 7, 1980, in Minster, Ohio, to Richard and Juliana Weigandt, who survive in Minster, Ohio. On Sept. 15, 2007, in Syracuse, she married Leighton Wells, who survives.
Also surviving are a brother; two sisters; grandparents; and her father- and mother-in-law, Jeff and Cindy Wells, Syracuse.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio, and at 11 a.m. Sunday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hogankamp Funeral Home, Minster, Ohio, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
