She is one of the most successful and iconic vocalists of the 20th century. Aug. 17-27, the Wagon Wheel Theatre presents “Always … Patsy Cline”. The production includes performances of 25 songs that made her “Patsy Cline.” You’ll recognize her hits, “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight” and “I Fall to Pieces” including chart-toppers Cline recorded by some of the most notable country artists of all time; “Your Cheatin’ Heart” (Hank Williams, Sr.), “Blue Moon of Kentucky” (Bill Monroe) and many more. “Always … Patsy Cline” is based on the true story of Cline’s friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger. On her way to a Houston concert in 1961, Cline met Seger who arrived early to the show. The two women struck up a friendship that culminated in Cline spending the night at Seger’s house. The pen-pal relationship lasted until Cline’s death in 1963 and provides much the show’s plot. “Always … Patsy Cline” combines humor, sadness and reality. It offers fans that remember Cline an opportunity to reminisce, while giving new fans a glimpse of Cline, a concert experience and an understanding of how much she meant to her original fans.Adult tickets are $30 for all shows; tickets for students 13 through college are $16, and children 12 and under are $12.
