NORTH MANCHESTER — Alton Wireman, 88, North Manchester, died at 3:55 p.m. March 20, 2017, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester. He was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Waldo, Ky., to Russell and Martha Shepherd Wireman. He married Katie Whitaker on Feb. 27, 1954. She survives. He served with the U.S. Army. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114W, North Manchester. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
