Saturday's weather was equal to that of Hawaii in Silver Lake when the parade for the annual festival snaked through town. Above (L to R): Sydney Spratt, Taylor Sleeth and Whitney Spratt show off their grass skirts on their float while, below, Matt Baker clowns around as 'Frazzle.' The theme for this year's Silver Lake Days festival was 'A Hawaiian Weekend.' Festival fun continues this week, with the North Webster Mermaid Festival under way. The next parade comes in conjunction with the Mermaid Festival and is set for 4 p.m. Saturday. Photos by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
