BREMEN – Allen H. Leismer, 88, of Milford, passed away July 28, 2013, at Bremen Health Care Center. He was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Flint, Mich., to Ralph and Doris Leismer. On April 7, 1947, he married Norma Brown, who survives. After graduating from Petoskey (Mich.) High School in 1943, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He retired from Montgomery Ward Corporate Office, Chicago, Ill., where he worked for more than 37 years. He could often be found wood working or solving a crossword puzzle. He also enjoyed camping and singing in the church choir. He attended Living Gospel Church, Nappanee. Also surviving are two sons, David (and spouse Joann) Leismer, Kouts, and Dan (and spouse Dennise) Leismer, Milford; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diana Thomas; and two brothers. Services will be private.
