Allbritten Set To Play At Ohio NorthernWarsaw Community High School senior soccer player Grant Allbritten has been a fixture for the Warsaw Tigers boys soccer squad for the past four years, and he announced Friday he would attend Ohio Northern to continue playing the sport. Following two consecutive years taking Warsaw into Final Four appearances, Allbritten’s dominant play at midfield this past season helped lead Warsaw to its first state championship game ever. A member of Fort Wayne Fever for the past four seasons (2011 state runner-up and 2012 state cup champs), Allbritten was a 2011 and 2012 Academic All-State selection for the Tigers. The Warsaw co-captain was also a 2012 IHSAA State Finals Mental Attitude Award Nominee for coach Scott Bauer’s Tigers. While Allbritten has turned back a substantial number of opponents goals on the field, he has certainly conquered many of his own in both the athletic and the academic realm at WCHS, ranked ninth out of 512 students in his graduating class, and he has amassed a 12.98 GPA on a 12-point scale. The son of Brenda and David and brother of Sam, he intends to major in biochemistry/pre-med at Ohio Northern while competing for coach Brent Ridenour and the Polar Bears.
