Students at Warsaw Christian School pelted their principal with water balloons Tuesday - with his full blessing, no less. The students surpassed their goal of $10,000 in the recent Super-a-thon, and the top students and class earned the right to toss balloons at Norman Gunsolley (pictured above). The students raised $10,200 by collecting sponsors for laps they completed riding bikes, swimming and bowling. Tim Burke, a former major league baseball player and parent of a WCS student, gave the kids pointers on the best way to throw the balloons. As the winning class, Norma Stech's third-graders let Gunsolley have it all at once. The top fund-raisers were Lucas Ellsworth, first; Stephanie Burke, second; and Brian Blocher, third. They will receive gift certificates to the Herald Bookstore in Winona Lake. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
