All Apologies

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

The last letter I wrote is one I dearly regret. I had the nerve to complain about the way the free potatoes were being given away on Jan. 27 in Marsh parking lot.

I received a call from David McCleary, who is an advocate for hunger relief for northern Indiana. He explained a good many things to me, of which I had no idea of everything that is needed to make something like this happen. Everything from money to volunteers. Mr. McCleary, I owe you and everyone else involved my sincere apologies. Thank you for the potatoes you brought to my house. Thank you to the unknown person who knocked at my door and left leaving a bag of potatoes. And last but not least, thank you to my stepsister, Joyce Bostic, who brought me potatoes, which were donated to her church from Mr. McCleary.

Talk about being truly humbled! I can tell you everyone was very grateful that received your gifts. May the good Lord bless all of you richly. And I am sorry for taking so long to send this letter in.
