ELKHART – Aline G. Maddux, 86, passed away March 3, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart. She was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Calumet City, Ill., to Albert G. and Maxine Fitch Wilson, who preceded her in death. She was a hard worker, even into her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and doing the daily “cryptogram” in the newspaper. She was a strong woman who had a wonderful sense of humor and who was conscious of her inward and outward appearance at all times. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center and ASERA Care Hospice for their care and compassion for Aline. Surviving are her two daughters, Vickie Scarpellini, Milford, and Dawn (and spouse Don) Dunker-Fair, Bristol; four grandchildren: John P. (and spouse Lauren) Scarpellini, Jason (and spouse Kate) Dunker, Matthew Dunker and Adam (and spouse Cassie) Dunker; four great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; her siblings, Maxine Cretcher and Philip Wilson; and her first husband, Ira J. Chupp, Sarasota, Fla. She was preceded in death by her three siblings, Mark, Darrell and Barbara Jean Wilson; and her husbands, Wallace “Bud” Shinkle and Ralph Maddux. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Walley Mills Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
