The Warsaw man who died in a Jan. 8 traffic accident was intoxicated, according to information released Thursday by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
Jerry Kline, 64, of Walnut Drive, Warsaw, had a blood-alcohol content of .23 percent - nearly three times the legal limit of .08 percent.
Kline suffered neck injuries and later died at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where he was airlifted from the scene of the accident on Ind. 15 at CR 700S.
At the time of the accident, police said Kline was driving left of center for an unknown reason when his vehicle collided with a car driven by James L. Martin of Claypool. Martin suffered minor injuries.
