Toxicology reports released Wednesday indicate that a driver killed in a May 10 traffic accident was intoxicated.
Leopoldo Marks, 53, of North Manchester, suffered massive chest injuries and was trapped in his car after disregarding a stop sign and pulling into the path of a vehicle driven by Amy Pfeiffer, 22, of Syracuse.
Kosciusko County Coroner Larry Ladd said that tests performed on Marks show that he had a blood-alcohol level of .15 percent at the time of the accident. Tests for drugs in Marks' system came back negative, Ladd said.
Pfeiffer and a passenger in her vehicle, Eric Pfeiffer, 24, of Syracuse, both were treated for minor injuries after the 8:42 p.m. accident at the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 200S, south of Warsaw.
