Kosciusko County Alcohol Tobacco Commissioners Elim Smith, Alan Alderfer and Dan Woods, along with excise officer April Tackett approved the following permit renewals Thursday:
• Aldi #38, a beer and wine grocery store dealer, 924 N. Parker St., Warsaw.
• Bulldog Saloon, a beer, wine and liquor restaurant permit, 101 E. Main St., Mentone.
• Liora & Bandit LLC, doing business as Hunter’s BBQ Restaurant and Catering, a beer, wine and liquor restaurant permit, 204 S. State St., Etna Green.
• LM Acquisitions, doing business as New Market #771, a beer and wine grocery dealer permit, 306 S. Main St., North Webster.
• Par Five LLC, doing business as Silver Inn Tavern, a beer, wine and liquor restaurant permit, 105 E. Main St., Silver Lake.
Smith noted the renewal for Max Welton Golf Club was listed as a transfer on his paperwork. Tackett said there was a permit renewal extension dated Aug. 20, however, she saw no mention of a transfer of ownership in her database.
The club’s request for a beer, wine and liquor restaurant permit renewal, at 5721 E. Elkhart County Line Road, Syracuse, was approved.
The hearing for Channel Side, doing business as The Barbee Landing, was extended again.
Tackett noted there was a permit violation charge with no judgment yet decided.
Josh Stein, representing the company, said he met with Alcohol Tobacco Commission prosecutor Josh Erickson Sept. 22 and has another meeting later this month to provide additional information.
The Landing is at 3687 N. Barbee Road, Warsaw. Stein is requesting a beer, wine and liquor restaurant permit renewal, the hearing of which was extended until the Nov. 5 meeting.
ATC meetings will be by conference call the rest of the year.
